A response was received from the listed Supervisor,                            , Market Manager. Normally all employment verifications are done through the corporate office, but                      said he would provide as much information as he could. When asked about the salary listed by the subject, $70,000 plus bonus, he said, "the salary was $40,700 per year." The investigator then read him the information on the subject's resume. He responded by saying that information was exaggerated. He went on to say he took over the market the subject was in 7/1996. The subject was in charge of two units.                       explained that when he took over he looked at the stores that were doing really well and those that were doing poorly. Both of the subject's stores were doing really well, but found out a lot of the paperwork wasn't done correctly. He mentioned that sometimes the managers know the paperwork too well.

The investigator told                          that when he was going over the resume, it appeared that a lot of the information didn't make much sense. said "like you I found some holes also." Said the subject left to go to because, from what he was told, he had a position with them.                     said before he got there, the subject's previous market manager had rated him high on his evaluation. When asked how he rated the subject,                        said "let's just say timing was of the utmost importance for him for find another job." In closing, said that when the subject left, the assistant manager took over and sales increased by $4,000 a month.
